This video captured a young man excitedly filming Yung Duu as he purchased food in the evening. The young man can be heard hailing enthusiastically and loudly behind he camera.
Despite trying to cover his face with a cloth to avoid recognition, he was still identified by the people around. Yung Duu was seen buying local food from a Mama Put vendor, and this incident has sparked discussions about the challenges of being a celebrity.
In the video, after Yung Duu left, the food vendor revealed that he had bought rice for just 300 Naira, speaking on the affordability of the meal. Some people had mixed reactions to the vendor’s disclosure. This incident follows previous controversies involving Yung Du and his record label. Some months ago, Kemi Filani reported that Portable, the record label owner, expressed frustration and regret over signing Yung Duu.
He claimed that Yung Duu had not brought any profits to the label and blamed him for being ungrateful and unsupportive of fellow label members when they achieved success. Puttable even went as far as collecting the card he had given to Yung Duu. He also even went on to claim that Young Duu had “bad luck charm” following him around.
