Actress Hadjia Minnah Mercy Aigbe has been schooled over a new name she gave herself since she converted to Islam.
Mercy Aigbe noted recently that she converted to her husband’s religion, Islam and now bears Hajia Minnah.
Subsequently, she displayed the name in all her social media posts. Nevertheless, today, she posted a picture and captioned it ‘Hajia Minnah’, leading to her being mocked for using the wrong adjective.
While many drooled over the beautiful actress, an angry fan reacted and noted that she should not tag herself as an ‘Hajia’ since she has not been to Mecca. The fan indicated that her husband ought to have corrected her and taught her the right thing.
She wrote: You’re not supposed to address yourself or be addressed as “Hajia” yet because you haven’t been to Hajj in Mecca. You are to be addressed as “Mallama” your husband was supposed to have taught you that.

The wife of Marketer, Kazim Adeoti who has embraced her husband’s religion, announced to the public that she is now Hajia Meenah.
The mother of two made this known during the special prayer/lecture she and her husband held to celebrate Ramadan.

Kemi Filani earlier reported that Yoruba Nollywood stars had turned up for their colleague, Mercy Aigbe’s Ramadan special prayer.
In the spirit of Ramadan, the actress, who has taken her husband’s religion following their marriage, held a Ramadan Lecture/Special prayer.
The actress had some of her Muslim colleagues in attendance like Kemi Afolabi, Femi Adebayo and his father, Adebayo Salami, Okiki films, Faithia Williams, and others.
Mercy Aigbe looked beautiful as always in her all-white outfit as she greeted guests at the event.

Just days back, Aigbe had lamented over the struggles of being a Muslim wife during Ramadan season.
Sharing a photo of her asleep during prayers, Aigbe revealed that waking up for Sari isn’t easy.
To prevent misinterpretation, Mercy Aigbe stated that she is coping better with fasting, however, she is still struggling to wake up to eat early morning as sleep always feels sleepy.
She slammed her husband, Kazim Adeoti for sharing the photo online.
Addressing those who say are husband is calm, She questioned if they can see what he did to her by humiliating her on social media.
