Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has stirred backlash for celebrating TC Okafor, one of the survivors of the Anam River accident, which claimed Junior Pope’s life.
Taking to his Instagram page, Yul congratulated him for surviving death as he rained prayers on him. He declared that he would record countless victories in Nollywood and life. He further prayed for his to lead him always and for his ancestors to stand by him.

Taking to his comment section, many dragged him for shunning his colleague, Junior Pope as the actor didn’t put up a post mourning him. Many state that because Junior Pope failed to support his marriage to another woman, hence, his hatred for him.

Recall that following his survival, T.C. Okafor had revealed a specific thing he had done while crossing the river. He expressed that as the journey continued, he had brought out Fanta and poured the Fanta into the river to appease the water goddess.
He also expressed that while doing it, Junior Pope had asked him what he was doing and he had revealed that he was only trying to be safe.
In another video, TC shared more insights on what really transpired, revealing that two people were wearing life jackets on the boat, which were the director and another person. However, the rest of the people on the boat were not wearing any life jackets. This statement got a lot of netizens fired up as they questioned why life jackets were not provided for everybody.
