Nollywood actor Yul Edochie is starting the new week by calling for peace among Nigerians, Africans, and the world at large.
In an Instagram post, he pondered on if God wants a peaceful world as he noted how He would have created humans to be peaceful. The controversial actor noted how humans are too quarrelsome, love fighting each other, and destroy each other over meaningless things.
The actor stressed how humans can’t live in peace as he expressed how complex the situation is.
“Sometimes I wonder, does God really want a peaceful world?
Maybe if He did, He would have created it to be peaceful.
Cos humans too dey quarrel, always fighting each other.
I don’t understand
From centuries ago, till now, war after war.
Quarrels everywhere, humans fighting and destroying each other over meaningless things that can be resolved through dialogue.
Humans just can’t live in peace.
In a world where all of us go still die last last.
I don’t understand it”.
This would be the umpteenth time Yul is calling for a peaceful world. Some months back, he called for love and peace to reign among Nigerians. He noted how none of us would last forever, and, as such, we should spread love, peace, and happiness. He admonished the public to shun hate, wickedness, envy, and evil.
During the heat of Psquare’s fallout, Yul had addressed those clamouring them to reunite, letting them know that sometimes real peace comes from staying apart. He stated that sometimes, one’s family members must be blocked to achieve peace.
Last year, Edochie had, for the umpteenth time, preached about love. He urged his fans and followers to tell people how much they love them and show it as much as they can while they’re alive. He noted how once they die, whatever love you show to them afterward is meaningless.
In a past post, Edochie posed an important question to the public as he preached on love. He pondered on why it is hard for people to reason well, as he questioned how many people have to die, before realizing that life is temporary.
He had also made a clarion call to his fans and followers on social media about the need to spread love across and beyond. He voiced out that there’s so much hate and envy in the world and there’s a need to kill it with love.
