Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has written a beautiful note to veteran actor Olu Jacobs on his birthday.
Yul, via his Instagram page, revealed that one of the best things that happened to him in the early days of his acting career was having the privilege to act with Olu Jacobs several times.
He recalled how, after doing his scenes with him, he would sit and watch him shoot the scenes he had without him. He observed everything he did, and he learnt so much.
Yul stated that he would never forget his impact in his acting career as he hailed the veteran for being a legend and one of the greatest names in African cinema.
“Happy birthday to Nollywood Legend, one of the greatest names in African cinema, Sir Olu Jacobs.
One of the best things that happened to me in the early days of my acting career was having the privilege to act with Uncle Olu Jacobs several times.
After doing my scenes with him, I would sit and watch him shoot the scenes he had without me.
I observed everything he did and I learnt so much.
I will never forget your impact on my acting career, sir.
Wishing you more life, peace, good health and every good thing the good Lord has in store for you, sir.

Last year, Edochie had penned a heartfelt note to Jacobs, praying for more life for the veteran. Yul described the veteran as one of the greatest actors on the continent of Africa and revealed that he learnt so much from him while working with him on set.
While celebrating Olu Jacobs at 80, Yul eulogized the veteran. He noted how his biggest wish was to be on set with the legendary actor, and revealed that he finally got the opportunity many times and he learned so much from him.
A month ago, Yul had celebrated veteran actress Ngozi Ezeonu on her birthday. He described her as one of the greatest names in Nollywood history and rained prayers on her.
The actor had expressed pride in his friend of over 20 years, Uche Nancy. Sharing photos of him and the filmmaker, he described her as his paddy; he noted how he knew her when she was just a costume designer, to a producer, and now she is an Executive producer. The actor praised her for her hard work and resilience.
He had also hailed his colleague Jerry Amilo as they linked up after many years. The movie star shared a video of him and the actor while expressing joy at working with him on a project. Yul stated that he has so much respect for Jerry, as they made so many hit movies together.
The controversial actor also hailed another of his colleagues, Jerry Williams, amid his battle with drugs. Edochie called Jerry the pride of Africa, declaring nobody could take his crown. Sending well wishes to him, he urged the actor to come back stronger and prayed for God to guide him always.
A year back, Yul had spoken out about his life-changing experience with Charles Inojie, revealing the level of impact he had played in his movie career. Yul praised him for always being so cool and nice to everyone and credited him for playing a role in his career path.
