Nollywood actor and failed presidential aspirant Yul Edochie has expressed heartbreak over boxer, Anthony Joshua’s recent loss at Wembley Stadium.
Kemi Filani reported that Joshua was knocked out in the fifth round by his rival, Daniel Dubois during their heavyweight clash on Saturday, which saw Dubois retain his IBF heavyweight title.
The fight, held at Wembley Stadium in front of a massive crowd of 96,000, showcased a dominant performance by Dubois, as he floored Joshua four times before delivering the decisive blow in the fifth round—a powerful right to the chin that ended the contest.
During his post-match press conference, Joshua reflected on the loss, attributing his defeat to a series of mistakes made throughout the bout.
Speaking on it, Yul, via his Instagram page, stated that he thinks Anthony is already tired of boxing. He noted how all through his build-up to the match, he never looked like he took the fight seriously. Though he is still a fan of the famous boxer, he admitted that the loss pained him.

In May, when music star, Davido revealed his plans to quit music because of constant trolling and hate, Yul admonished him not to.
Edochie admonished him not to give room for trolls as he noted how only great people get trolled. He questioned why he would retire for them, as he noted how the singer is a blessing to Nigeria and Africa. Yul begged him to keep giving us as he added that losers will never stop hating.
Last month, Yul called his embattled colleague, Jerry Williams the pride of Africa, declaring nobody can take his crown. Sending well wishes to him, he urged the actor to come back stronger. His post didn’t sit well with many, especially with Jerry’s history of drug abuse, which got him suspended from Nollywood.
In other news, Yul had opened up on why he didn’t mourn Junior Pope, revealing that he took the deceased as a brother and good friend and was there for him when he needed him, unfortunately, the late actor stabbed him repeatedly. Noting how that’s life, he admonished others to be careful about what they wish others.
A day later, the father of six stated that he had completely forgiven the late actor. He, however, made it known that it hurt him deeply when a friend he loved took him like a brother, stood for and showed love over the years, backstabbing him without remorse.
