Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has joined some of her colleagues in dragging Mercy Johnson.
In an online video, the chocolate-skinned actress revealed the real truth about Mercy Johnson as she recounted their time together in 2003. Yvonne, who is undoubtedly making light of the scandal surrounding the actress, claimed that in 2003, she took a bike to the National Theatre for an audition, and Mercy was aware of it. She further claimed that the movie star told her to buy two pieces of meat rather than one when she wanted to eat at the Theater.
She questioned the mother of four if she was lying as she told her she had evidence and proof to support her claims.
“Good morning, everybody; I think it is time to come out and say the truth about Mercy Johnson. In 2003, I heard there was an audition at the National Theatre. Mercy, didn’t I take Okada to the audition? Come out and deny it now; I have proof. Even the woman who sells food inside the Theatre that day, I wanted to buy food from her; I wanted to buy one meat, and Mercy said I should buy two; if I am lying, come out and deny it. Mercy Johnson, come out and say you didn’t tell me to buy two meat. I have receipts for all my allegations levelled against you. I have my evidence now.
Me self I want to drag you since that’s the new challenge now; that’s what people use to eat. I want you to come out and deny that you said I shouldn’t buy one meat but two; I am waiting for your reply”.
Refreshing your memory, Mercy Johnson has been embroiled in a scandal after her colleague, Angela Okorie, called her out, stating that it was time up for her. She accused her mother of being a witch and claimed the actress’ mother was fond of tying people’s destinies, and now her mother was dead; Angela questioned what would become of those whose destinies her mother tied up.
She went on an Instagram Live session with Mercy Johnson’s former best friend, Ifeoma, who called her out for witchcraft and alleged that her late mother was the mastermind. The lady claimed Mercy was aware of the deaths happening in Nollywood and locked the destinies of the famous music group Style Plus and her colleagues.
Weighing into it, actress Queeneth Hilbert recounted how Mercy decasted her on the set of a movie project because she was close to Angela. She revealed that producer Chinedu Arinze was the one who intervened on her behalf and had to plead with Angela.
Mercy Johnson, on her part, ignored the drama and focused on her family. She took to her Instagram page to celebrate her last born, Divine’s birthday and stated that her family was all that mattered.
Prince Odi Okojie, the husband of Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson, also shared a cryptic, urging the public to check on their loved ones as he noted how mental health is real. The politician stated that there are mad people everywhere.
Recall that filmmaker Sam Olatunji had defended Mercy Johnson as he pondered on how Angela came to the conclusion that Mercy Johnson’s mother was a witch if she wasn’t one herself. He admonished her fans to check up on her as he believed she was having a mental breakdown
