A Nigerian student has alleged that his teacher flogged him for identifying as a Marlian, a term used in referring to fans of rapper Naira Marley.
He shared a picture showing the bruises he sustained as a result of the flogging from the teacher.
“What we get for calling ourselves marlians…..my school thinks marlian is a cult that do not wear belt and the girls do not wear bra and pants Monday Wednesday and Friday…. Please tag @nairamarley so this statement can be debunked naira Marley has to make a video to tell the world that he is a disciplined person so all this can be reduced”, he wrote.
This is coming weeks after a Facebook user narrated how he found out that his daughter belongs to a new secret cult in secondary school called Marlians.
According to Adebiyi Gabriel, the cult group is an all female group with rules that prohibits weering of pant.
He wrote:
