Choosing Your White Wedding Jewelry

Tips to consider before choosing your wedding jewelry…

Choosing your bridal jewelry is a fun part of the wedding planning process. Bridal jewelry completes your bridal ensemble by tying everything together. However, when selecting your bridal jewelry, you should proceed with caution. You want to select jewelry that will complement your bridal appearance rather than overpower it.

We’ve compiled these top ideas to assist you to choose what bridal jewelry to wear to help you select the perfect jewelry for your wedding look! Continue reading to find out what to consider when choosing your jewelry and how to choose the best accessories for your big day.

1. Don’t go overboard; little is more

It’s tempting to go all out with your wedding jewelry. There is so much lovely bridal jewelry to pick from that who wouldn’t want to wear it all? However, keep in mind that, when it comes to wedding attire, less is usually more. At the end of the day, you should be the center of attention, not your wedding accessories.

Choosing Your White Wedding Jewelry

To avoid seeming overdone, have all of your bridal jewelry ready by the time you get your final dress fittings. That way, you can try everything on with your gown (and, ideally, your haircut) to see how it all looks. If one or two of your accessories stand out too much, consider leaving them out or replacing them with more discreet ones.

It’s also important to remember that you don’t have to wear all of your jewelry on your wedding day. Sometimes only one or two items are required to complete your outfit.

2. Hairstyle

The types of jewelry that will look best with your wedding appearance will be heavily influenced by your wedding hairdo. This is particularly true of your earrings.

When it comes to earrings, up-dos provide a lot of options. Updos look great with both large statement earrings and more delicate earrings, such as drop earrings or studs. Updos are also perfect for incorporating hair jewelry, which may add a touch of glitz and romance to your bridal appearance. If you do decide to wear hair jewelry, keep in mind how it will look with your earrings and necklace. If you choose a bold hairpiece, make your earrings and necklace choices more muted to prevent looking excessive.

A down-do is a lovely, romantic wedding hairstyle. However, it does necessitate that you select your wedding jewelry with greater care, particularly your earrings. Delicate diamond stud earrings go well with down-dos, which can conceal larger earrings. You can, however, let your hair down and wear larger earrings while doing so. Simply choose your earrings with visibility in mind. Look for longer earrings that will glitter through your hair if you want to wear larger earrings with a down-do.

3. Think About Your Dress Color

The majority of bridal gowns are white. However, there are many distinct hues of white, that you should consider while selecting your bridal jewelry. Your wedding gown could be white, champagne white, ivory, candlelight, or ecru. Find bridal jewelry that complements the color of your wedding gown for the most harmonious effect. White gold or platinum jewelry complements more “genuine white” gowns, whereas yellow gold or rose gold jewelry complements warmer white costumes.

4. Consider Something Blue

On your wedding day, it is customary to wear four good luck charms (“something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue”). If you’re still hunting for your fortunate “something blue,” think about incorporating blue jewelry into your wedding attire. Because of its stylish, traditional elegance, blue sapphire jewelry is the most preferred blue jewelry for bridal appearances. Blue topaz, which has a lighter, brighter blue tint, is another gorgeous blue rock that might add something blue to your bridal outfit.

5. Coordinate Your Metals

Our final piece of advice for selecting bridal jewelry is to match your metals. Mixed metals can provide a fun twist to everyday or evening ensembles. However, for your wedding day, we recommend sticking with a single precious metal for all of your wedding jewelry.

When compared to mixed metals, matching metals simply look more harmonic and stylish. In general, we recommend using a single precious metal (rose gold, yellow gold, white gold, or platinum) for all of your wedding jewelry.
