Akin Alabi, the lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona Ara federal constituency at the National Assembly, has announced the passing away of his father.
Akin Alabi, who is the CEO of Nairabet, took to social media to break the sad news.
I lost my dad, Chief Adediran Alabi earlier this morning. He was 85.
When Akin Alabi won the election to become a lawmaker, he dedicated the victory to his father. In a tweet, he revealed that his father contested to be a lawmaker in 1992 but lost.
He tweeted:
“ In 1992, my dad lost his election. He contested for a seat in the House of Representatives. In 2015, I contested and lost too.
In 2019, I won.y dad is alive to witness this. He’s happy and I dedicate this to him. I dedicate my victory at the polls to my dad, Chief Adediran Alabi “
