In a way of giving succor to the less privileged as well as indigent adolescents the Chairman of GRE TRA Apostle Samuel Ayodeji, shed light on the rationale behind the establishment of the NGO.
He added that the vision of the above NGO bothers on Driven Initiative for Transformation Foundation, and vocational and skill gap training geared towards ensuring that about 2000 individuals which includes youths and women are employable.
Following the influx of unemployed youths marauding most communities in recent time, GRE-TRA engaged the youths by giving them motorcycles and Tricycles. More so, they equally gave out soft Loans to Widows and as well as support to farmers to foster better farming proceeds.
GRE-TRA Empowerment Driven Initiative was borne out of creating an awareness on the need to leverage on government schemes and initiative being introduced overtime, tilted towards elevating the poor masses, by way of training them vocationally, hence they would become independently resourceful.
The earlier mentioned project according to Samuel Ayodeji, it was borne out of the need to improve the lives of disadvantaged poor adolescent girls, youths, and women via vocational and skill development training tilted towards making them self-reliant.
In His words: “our vision is to enhance the employability of disadvantaged and poor adolescent girls, youths, and women through vocational and skill development training. The project directly supports youths, farmers, widows, and it includes giving out motorcycles, tricycles to the youths. Also, a free interest loan, a monthly token support and regular supply of foodstuffs”
In the same development, Ayodeji who bags a degree in Agriculture from the University of Ilorin , Kwara State, as well as a certification in Farm Production and Livestock from Someone University of Agriculture in Tanzania.
In addition, following his versatility in farm construction and livestock he enjoined that Agriculture and man is intrinsic, and in turn an average society needs Agriculture, in order to keep surviving. He went further to add that the organization from inception has trained individuals in farming through some state government schemes.
Concluding, when threw a poser on the accessibility, as well as the criterion for been a beneficiary, Mr Samuel said the aforesaid project is open to all. And has been on ground for running 14 years now. More so, they are in two states namely Osun and Oy states, they however, look forward to spreading to other states in the future.
