In what appears to be an initiation gone wrong, a man simply identified as Miracle, has been confirmed dead. According to reports, Miracle died during a cult initiation in Sankwala, Obanliku LGA of Cross River State.
Whilst the incident which occurred on December 27, 2018 has been reported to the relevant authorities, a total of four persons have already been arrested so far.
Reports state that the suspects which includes the nephew of a popular unidentified evangelist, have since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters, at Diamond Hills, Calabar
It was learnt that the Evangelist had no idea his nephew was involved in the initiation rituals owing to the fact that the boy came around and passed the night in his house, under the pretext of a visitation only for the Evangelist to discover what transpired the night before
The deceased is said to be a native of Bayanung, Basang Clan, who had died as a result of severe cuts to his body and head in the course of his initiation rites of the fraternity.
