A suspected notorious kidnapper has been arrested by officers of the Kastina State Police Command.
According to the police, the suspect is notorious for terrorising four local government areas of the state.
The disclosure was made in a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isa, and released to journalists on Monday, February 4, 2019, in Katsina.
Thanks to a tip-off, the suspect said to have been on the police wanted list for a long time, was apprehended on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Dayi in Malumfashi Local Government Area.
“The suspect has been on the wanted list of the command in connection with various cases of cattle rustling, kidnapping, culpable homicide and armed robbery.
“He is among criminals terrorizing people in Danmusa, Malumfashi, Safana and Batsari local government areas of the state,” the statement said.
The statement also revealed that one AK 47 rifle was recovered from the suspect during the interrogations and that the suspect will be charged to court immediately.
