Sheba Ogbu, the female student of the Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State, has stated that she was assaulted by policemen because she refused to offer them sex.
The student revealed in an interview with Sahara Reporters that she was left injured in the face in the incident which happened on Monday along Oyemekun Road in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
According to Ogbu, the policemen stopped her on her way from Church and searched her but found nothing incriminating.
Unable to pin anything on her, the policemen told her to follow them to a spot so they could have sex with her.
Her refusal infuriated the policemen who started beating her and smashed her head on a stone resulting in the injury.
Her family is now threatening to sue to the Nigeria Police Force.
Spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, Femi Joseph, revealed that the policemen have been identified and are currently being investigated.
