Tragedy struck at midnight on Thursday, January 2, 2020 in Ehin Grammar Area of Molete, Ibadan as three children of same parents who had been locked inside their apartment, were burnt to death in a fire which engulfed the entire apartment
Though the source of the fire is yet to be uncovered by the necessary authorities, it was learnt that the mother of the three children identified simply as Iya Ara, had gone to work as she was on a night shift, while no one could ascertain the whereabouts of the father popularly referred to as Baba Ara, who had locked the children in, prior to the time the fire started.
The eldest, of the children was a secondary school student whose name was given as Glory while the two others were said to be in primary school.
Upon a visit to the scene of the incident on Friday morning, pressmen watched how sympathizers were seen asking how the children could have been locked up without both parents at home as the father of the children who locked then in had stayed out all through the night
