Andy Boyo, the producer and director of the movie did an amazing job with his casting.
Frederick Leonard played the role of Investigator Hamzat from Libya, the bad guy turned good.
Kate Henshaw- played Yinka, a Nigerian Lawyer. Daniel K Daniel was from South African State and he acted the role of Danny Benson. Wole Ojo played, Prosecutor Kashinga from Zimbabwe state.
While corrupt Sgt Rogers, played by Blossom Chukwujeku was from Tanzanian state.
All States listed were part of the formation of the United State Of Africa.
The cast also did a good job faking different accents from African countries in order to fit into their characters – this was quite a comic relief in the tragic movie.
The movie which according to the producer was meant to tackle xenophobia in Africa has major knocks and kudos.
The story centered on DKD who was an innocent police sergeant roped in a murder case. He tried all he could with the help of his well seasoned lawyer, Kate Henshaw, to expose the people behind the evil act but failed.
The Fugitive is not a regular Nigerian movie, it was well crafted to fit into the Hollywood standard but ended up in between.
It is not generally expected that all movies should have a happy ending, but The Fugitive lost its touch when it ended abruptly, leaving the viewers with a bitter taste.
We thereby rate it 50%.
