Nigerian international music star Ayo Balogun Wizkid could see his album Made In Lagos released in 2020 get nominated for a category in 2022 Grammy Awards.
This comes as America’s music and entertainment magazine Billboard in a recent statement confirmed the submission of Wizkid’s “Made in Lagos” album.
With this Wizkid’s Made In Lagos if selected will be competing with other album in the “Best Global Music Album” category.
The Billboard in a post via its official website wrote, ”Wizkid’s Made in Lagos is vying for a nod in the recently renamed best global music album category.”
Recall that Made in Lagos” was released by Wizkid in 2020 and has topped charts for several weeks, with Essence featuring Tems being the most popular track on the allbum.
As at the time of this article, Made In Lagos is the only African album to top the charts for fifty weeks concurrently.
