Olamide BNXN Modupe with lyrics… BNXN a.k.a. Buju collaborates with Olamide Baddo on this thoughtful track titled “Modupe” (I’m Grateful). The song is from BNXN’s new EP, ‘Bad Since ’97.’
Buju explains how he created this inspirational track and secured Olamide’s dope verse.
“‘Modupe’ means ‘thank you’ in Yoruba. I was thinking about my journey and all the experiences I’ve had to date while recording this song, and how grateful I am for everything. I felt like [pouring] out my emotional side in thanksgiving to God for my success and everything that has happened to me over the years. Olamide told me that when he recorded it, it was the first time in a long time that he had recorded on something slow and inspirational, and he loves it.”
Modupe is a song of gratitude that gathered BNXN (Buju) and Olamide thanking God for not letting Sapa kill them, for bringing them out of the trenches, and for making them the best among the rest.
