Douglas’s Knowledge Runtown, aka Jack Agu, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer. He has a diverse musical style that incorporates hip-hop, R&B, reggae, and rap.
In 2008, he formed a record label called Penthauz with Phyno, where he released his first two singles, “Party Like It’s 1980” and “Activity Pikin.” After years of flying under the radar, he collaborated with Davido and released his career-making single “Gallardo,” which catapulted him to prominence and earned him Best Collaboration honors in 2014.
Runtown’s debut album, ‘Ghetto University,’ which featured Wizkid, DJ Khaled, and others, was released in 2015. With the 2016 song ‘Mad Over You,’ he earned his first global hit, reaching the Top 40 of the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart.
After a year away from the music industry, Runtown returns today, November 2nd, 2022, with his first new single since ‘If E Happen For Lagos.’ “Things I Know” features pleasant, floaty lyrics from Nigeria’s top singer.
