Music Video: Mayorkun – Back In Office
DMW act, Mayorkun, also known as the Mayor of Lagos, has finally dropped the visual of his new music titled Back In Office, and to be sincere, the singer is back with another bang that is expected to trend till the end of the year.
Mayorkun, who had dropped a teaser via his social media page, has finally dropped the new video of Back In Office to the excitement of his fans in the early hours of Friday 8th of October 2021.
Back In office by Mayorkun was not released under DMW but via Sony Music Entertainment/Columbia Records UK.
The song is Mayorkun’s premiere release with Sony Music and comes after the release of his hit song ‘Let Me Know’, a track which is a smooth and earnest dose of Afrobeats with romance at its heart that surpassed one million streams in its first week of launch.
Back In Office was produced by Speroach Beatz and is a trademark of Mayorkun’s vibrant Afropop sound with an Amapiano twist, pairing his slick vocals with a sleazy sax upbeat percussion.
Mayorkun, in the video of the track, reimagined himself as a real-life mayor sensationally returning to the office and being met with rapturous crowds, which proves to be a fitting accompaniment to the music.
Back In Office also proved the Mayor of Lagos has further up his game, there are speculations that fans should expect a new album from him soon.
