The National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Francis Wale-Oke, has said the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye, has taken the church from 32 parishes to 38,000 parishes.
Wale-Oke stated that the parishes now exist in 200 countries across the world.
The cleric said this while praising Adebiye during the Holy Ghost Convention 2022 of the RCCG at the Redemption City in Ogun State.
He said, “If you are talking about anybody in the body of Christ who is outstandingly great, Adeboye is one.
“He took a classical struggling Pentecostal church with 32 parishes and now they are in 200 nations of the world.
“In Nigeria alone, there are over 38,000 parishes. If you are talking of greatness, that is it.
“But when he said there is a generation that will be greater than his, that is very prophetic because God takes his people from glory to glory.”
Recently, at his church’s 70th annual convention, Adebiye spoke about the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 and why nobody died of the virus in his village.
He said: “I think it was yesterday I was asking the workers, are you alive today because you took good care during the pandemic? Is that why you are still alive?
“I told them and said, throughout the period, I never saw a single fellow wearing a mask in my village, Ifewara, Osun State. I never saw one and I went home several times and you know what? Not a single one of them died. Who took care? God.
“Some of you have heard this before: when I was in the saddest period of my life (during the death of his son, Dare), with so many questions and I know that even in my deep sorrow, some people were still laughing at me, I got a text from one of my daughters.
“All she said was: ‘Daddy, let God carry you. And that put an end to any problem; it ended my sorrows. It renewed my faith. If you make yourself carriable, God will carry you.
“All you need to do is to surrender to the One who wants to carry you. If you want to carry a child and the child says no, then leave the child alone.”
