The Director General of All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Simon Lalong, has said that the party is almost set for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign for the 2023 general elections.
Lalong stated this on Saturday after inspecting the facilities at the campaign headquarters in Abuja.
KEMI FILANI NEWS recalls that the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu announced the Plateau State Governor as the DG of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council shortly after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
The spokesperson for the governor, Dr Makut Macham, disclosed the party’s readiness in a statement on Saturday in Jos.
Macham added that Lalong was received at the headquarters by the secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Hon James Faleke.
He further stated that Lalong met with some staff of the campaign team as part of efforts to ensure a formidable team for the campaign.
“The DG also held a closed-door meeting with the APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, at the headquarters.
“The duo thereafter held another meeting with the Speaker, House of Representatives, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, and some lawmakers from State Houses of Assembly”, he said.
