Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has taken to social media o plead with Nigerians to stop sending money to his account number.
Omokri’s account number became public after he posted the letter of appointment he got when he became an aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan.
Omokri was forced to share the letter after some supporters of Peter Obi, popularly known as Obidients, claimed he was never a presidential candidate.
According to them, he was only an errand boy to someone who was Jonathan’s aide.
Overwhelmed by the money he was receiving, Omokri tweeted, “Many Nigerians have been sending me money since I published my pay slip and appointment letter. It is enough. I appreciate the gesture. May God bless you all. But please stop sending me money. Look for the nearest motherless babies home and give them what you intend to send to me.”
He added, “Ha! Let GT Bank not freeze my account. The rate you guys are sending me money is too much. Had more alerts today than any day in 2022. I never asked for money. I only published my payslip and appointment letter to show how Buhari has damaged Nigeria and how Atiku can repair her!”
