It’s another great Monday…fasten your seat belts and ride on with us as we zoom you away with our penultimate valentine True Love Story!
We absolutely love our couple of the week – Tola Bello and Dolapo Agbaje – they held nothing back while narrating their love story! She calls him “My Prime” while he calls her “My Hearty”.

Kick starting the narration, Tola says “I’m married to the world’s best hubby and I feel so accomplished. He’s
very quiet and has listening ears – he’s always ready to listen to me.
He could be very naughty at times though. We love to gist, oh you need to
see us gisting…he’s my favorite and best gossip partner.”

Cutting in Dolapo says “Tola completes me, she’s my drama queen cos she’s so full of drama…she could be stubborn at times but she owns the key to my heart”.

Narrating how they met, the happy groom said:
“We were both freshers when we met…the first time I saw her, my heart skipped a beat. I met her around the University car
park, thereafter saw her again in a general class – GST 101.
I was instantly attracted to her…she was so beautiful and I kept
stealing glances, admiring her physique and beautiful smile too. She was
driving me crazy but I kept cool”
Our first discussion:
We
eventually had our first conversation in the school library. We
exchanged compliments, shared ideas, became cool friends….You’ll always find us together, there was always something to talk about…we cherished each other’s company…and then our love journey of 6 years began –
yup they dated for 6 years – until he put a ring on it!

You see, they already had everything spelt out from the onset “The
rules of engagement” was clear and they stood by it so it was easy to overcome the challenges they encountered.

The Proposal: Tola: “After my NYSC, I was set to travel to the UK for my Masters’ programme and he proposed few days before I traveled.
He’s a
smart guy. Earlier that day he started up a heated argument with me….the argument lasted the whole day.
Later that evening he came over to my place
without prior notice. I was shocked because it was late and two, he never visited at such late hours…”

Anyway he calmed her down and announced that he had something to tell her. Tola was confused
and wondering what he was up to…”in my mind I was like mi o ni time
fun gbo gbo drama yi mehn.”

| “You are, and always have been, my dream.” |
He suddenly fell down on his knees and asked
in a very calm voice ‘it’s longtime over due babe…let’s get married’…”You damn right I
was speechless, he then pull out the ring and I said Yes…I didn’t know what his thoughts were then actually but I
guessed he proposed because he didn’t want to loose me. He needed a
commitment for the long distance relationship.”

Tola traveled and they didn’t stop keeping in touch; despite the distance, their love grew stronger and stronger.
As a matter of fact, Dolapo sent Tola a surprise package on her 25th birthday.

“He surprised me on my 25th birthday during my masters programme in the
Uk. I got a delivery of a double chocolate cake and gifts “private
tins” #wink. I was stunned that day because I was not expecting anything
from him due to the distance. He apparently ordered the cake online
and had it delivered to my apartment…I was super super super glad!”

On the completion of her MSC programme, Tola returned to Nigeria to marry her soul mate.
So the love birds walked down the aisle on the of December in Ibadan to
the admiration of friends, family members and well-wishers.
