Love so beautiful! This week’s true love story series revolves around music – music practically brought our couple of the week (Olukemi Opasho and her fiance’ Odutola Akinwumi) together!
Akinwunmi Odutola aka talking fingers, is a professional pianist,
piano coach & music producer. He has featured with Lara George, Timmy Dakolo etc while Kemi is a songstress, she sings at concerts, events and churches.

The first time they actually met, they both felt a sparkle, but they never thought they will end up together.
Kemi says “We met initially at an eatery on the 2nd of March, 2010 but I didn’t like him
because he had a whole lot of hair on his head”

She didn’t like him but they “kinda noticed each other” to the extent that they were stealing glances all through their stay at the eatery.
Fast forward to a few weeks later, Kemi was invited to a particular musical concert by her friends “I attended because I had heard a lot about the host choir so I wanted to watch them and see how good they indeed were” she disclosed.
On getting there, Kemi found her sparkles again and to her surprise, he was the
music director of the much-talked-about host choir.

There after, Kemi concluded that she was gonna join THAT choir so she began attending the church
in April.

Soon Kemi joined the choir and the first time Akin heard her Amazing and soul-lifting voice, he knew he had found the bone of his bone, but being the shy type, he would always say hi to her with a “very
shy look”.

They initially started out with the “hi” “hello” greeting method because they misunderstood each other – He felt she had a serious look while she thought otherwise.

him first because he felt I had a very serious look…So, on this particular day, I decided to give him a call,

Akin had an attractively calm
spirit, so, Kemi always wanted him talk to me, she was always free with him and she loved his company a lot – but he never mentioned that he loved her or had interest in her!

To make matters super exciting for Kemi, a friend of Akin called her one noon and told her this “Listen Kemi, Akin is head over heels in love with you, he thinks about you all the time, you mean everything to you”
Of course Kemi was glad but she wanted to hear it from the horse’ mouth.
“I spoke to Akin, thinking he would bring
up the issue but he didn’t so I was upset” lol “but then again, I began wondering why I was upset.”

From his actions and all, one could easily tell that he loved Kemi but he didn’t mention it till December 2010 when he suddenly asked Kemi to marry him!

Kemi was the happiest woman on earth when he finally asked “A
part of me liked it but I told him I had a lot 2 do, I was still in school so I asked him to gimme time…to at least finish school, start work…” and he passionately said “take your time babe, I’ll wait for you”.

That was how their journey began and they decided to get married in 2014!

“Akin is
truthful, he doesn’t hide how he feels about things, I love his outspokenness and his eyes, those eyes make me weak, those eyes of his are the keys to my mumu button” Kemi disclosed.

Three years later, they decided make their affair official and had their family introduction on the 7th of Sept 2013.

Their wedding introduction marked the first step in their ‘official engagement’. The
entire event played out like a well rehearsed play with two
narrators representing both families, the ‘Alaga Ijoko’ (the sitting MC)
for the brides family and the ‘Alaga Iduro’ (the standing MC) for the
grooms family.
