The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has berated former president Olusegun Obasanjo as he declares support for President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Alaafin made this known on Thursday while speaking at a gathering of Yoruba leaders in Ibadan.
According to him, people should stop blaming Buhari, because the Yorubas never benefited all they wanted when their son Obasanjo was in power.
“Stop blaming Buhari, we will work with him to achieve the desired nation. We have had our son as the president who never did all we wanted for us. We have had our son as the president who never did all we wanted for us,’’ he said.
The Alaafin also stated that traditional leaders in Yoruba land are ready to work with the administration of President Buhari towards restoring peace and unity in the country.
