President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with Asari Dokubo, a former leading agitator in the Niger Delta, at the State House.
According to Channels Television, Dokubo is likely to be part of Tinubu’s ongoing consultations with opinion leaders from the oil-rich region.
The president had last week reiterated his commitment to halting crude oil theft in the country.
Tinubu had also met with other key figures from the region, including the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Timi Alaibe, as well as the former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Peterside.
