ended up putting on a performance that was memorable for all the wrong
reasons, at the BRIT Awards 2015 last night.
She took a nasty-looking fall down a staircase during her performance and it was ugly.
And to think that it’s the first time in 20 years Madonna performed at the Brit Awards.
However, we bring you seven lessons we learnt from her fall:
appeared to land on her back with a bang after she fell down a flight
of three steps mid-performance. She paused for around a minute where she
couldn’t muster the strength to sing….but rather than wallow in her
pain or use that as an excuse to end her performance, the queen
quickly gathered herself up and kept dancing like the pro she is.
It’s never too late to get back up again, One day you will shine again, You may be knocked down, But not out forever,
So get up, get up”
quickly. Actually, Madonna’s plan was for the backup dancer to
dramatically pull the cape off of her as she revealed a sparkly outfit
but before the pull, Madonna was supposed to untie the cape strap around
her neck.
dancer did his thing, pulling Madonna backwards neck first onto the
stage. Still, the singer was flexible enough to dust herself off,
brushed over her hair and stood up to ascend the steps once again
without her cape.

let it go….she did not hang on to it! She took it down and gave an
astounding performance still. Undeterred, Madonna rose to her feet and
discarded the offending fashion item. And bless her dancers, they knew
what the problem was, the CAPE! They didn’t appear to help her back on
her feet but did grapple with her cape to get it off.

4. Don’t shy away from the fall, talk about it: It
helps! Agreed, the pop superstar was visibly shaken as she pressed on
with her performance but she didn’t fail to address the issue like some
others do to avoid the shame.

hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight. But nothing can
stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I’m
fine! #livingforlove’ …don’t you just adore her spirit of sportsmanship!

5. Dreams sometimes come true (in the most unexpected manner/form): Before the big night, Madonna was ‘desperate to give the performance of her life’ as rehearsals piled on the pressure.

responsibility of the fall and you know what, despite the cape bringing
about her downfall, Madonna was quick to thank the designer, rather than
pour all the blames on her like some would have.
