Nigerian media mogul, Dele Momodu, who publishes the popular Ovation Magazine, has narrated the incident that followed shortly after he celebrated his 35th birthday in Lagos. Little did he know that the celebration was more than a birthday but was also a send off as he was forced on exile by the military junta just two months fater he celebrated with friends.
He shared the story on Instagram where he uploaded a picture taken at the event. The picture shows him with a lady carrying a baby (probably his wife), Sir Shina Peters and Chris Okotie looking all young and in a happy mood. Read his quote below.

Dele joined the Moshood Abiola Presidential Campaign Organization in 1993 and was arrested after the June 12 election annulment by the administration of Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida. He was detained at alagbon close after being accused of being one of the brains behind the pirate radio, Radio Freedom whose name was later changed to Radio Kudirat.
It is reported that Momodu managed to escape by masquerading as a farmer through the Seme border to Cotonou all the way to Ghana from which he finally found himself in the United Kingdom.
He was one of those who lent their support to the current administartion of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 elections which the president won on the platform of the All Peoples Congress APC.
