Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola-Salako, has now released her new photo documentary on drugs abuse among the youth in Nigeria. Foluke Daramola has been more involved in humanitarian services ever since she got married.
The Global Crusader, Humanitarian Agent, and Social Commentator released the first episode from her highly anticipated Photo Documentary series under her Organization – Passion Against Rape and Abuse in Africa (PARA Africa).
This exclusive documentary was done to sensitize people on the rate at which the young generation are abusing drug and to also make the young people understand the consequences of their action.
Foluke Daramols’s documentary sets to address these forms of abuses in the society: Domestic Violence, Sexual Violence, Drug Abuse, Child Abuse and Girl-child Violation.
The photo documentary advocates against these elements that has left the society in an uneasy state. This is the first episode from the documentary.
Foluke Daramola-Salako is seen in the photos pointing to some of the acts that have restrained sanity in the society – there are a couple of street boys behind smoking Indian Helm and ingesting all sorts of illicit drugs. And it is quite unfortunate that some of these abuses are carried out by youth in their early teenage years.
According to study, there are over three million bottles of codeine syrup consumed daily in Kano and Jigawa states. Drug abuse is also rampant in other states in the Northern part of the country and thi has called for so much concern.
It disclosed that across the 19 states, women, young girls in tertiary institutions, working class ladies, married, unemployed women, among others, were involved in drug abuse, and that in 2015 alone, over 2,205 people were arrested in North-West geo-political zone by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, over drug-related abuses.
This first Episode of her Photo Documentary series is to advocate against Drug Abuse. And the other series will be released on a later date.
