Security agents rescued Surulere Baptist School students in Ilorin on Monday from being razed by fire by unknown hoodlums.
Located within the school premises is also a church.
Newsmen gathered that the unknown hoodlums set tires on fire and threw them into the school premises at around 5 p.m.
However, vigilant security operatives at the scene acted promptly to put off the fire that would have caused major damage to the structures.

No one has been arrested in connection to the attack, but security has been uptight in the area of the Christain mission schools in Ilorin closed by the state government in regards to the discord between Muslims and Christain communities in the State.
When contacted on Tuesday morning, the State police command spokesman, Mr. Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the attack.
The spokesman said the Police Commissioner, Mr. Mohammed Lawal Bagege, has ordered the DPO in-charge of the area, “To clear all unused tires within the area, and beef up security.”
Ajayi, who confirmed the development, said no arrest was made, but the police personnel present at the scene, calm the situation, putting the fire out after retrieving the tires.
To prevent more law and order breakdown, the government has ordered the extension of lockdown in the ten schools that were affected.
