President Muhammadu Buhari has celebrated Nigerian women on the occasion of the occasion of the 2022 International Women’s Day (IWD).
President Buhari, in a goodwill message to mark this year’s International Women’s Day, admitted that Nigerian women are still far from attaining their rightful place in the society.
He, however, affirmed that Nigerian women can no longer be deprived for too long, as they consistently prove that they can hold their own on all fronts, and in all fields.
He commended Nigerian women for their contributions to his administration.
“I applaud the contributions of women to the current administration as Ministers, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Executive Directors, Executive Secretaries, and many others; pulling their weights and making it impossible for anyone to downplay their essence,” Buhari said.
The President prayed that God will grant Nigerian women peace, joy and satisfaction.
