After many years in obscurity, the truth behind Seyi Tinubu’s birth has been unveiled.
Contrary to popular belief that the lawyer was born to the one time Governor of Lagos state, Bola Tinubu and his wife, Senator Oluremi, news reports have revealed that Seyi was born out of a whirlwind romance.
Thecapitalng reports that Seyi was born out of a whirlwind romance between Bola and one Bunmi Oshonike.
According to the reports, Bunmi had been a wealthy air hostess at the time she crossed paths with the wealthy politician.
The pair met at a time when Bola’s political career was about to kick off and was a rich accountant at Mobil Oil.
A source disclosed to thecapitalng that, “It was on one of those flights from America to Nigeria that Bunmi crossed paths with the APC leader and kindled a sizzling romance which was the talk of the town at that point. One thing led to another and she soon became pregnant with Seyi.”
Soon enough, their romance led to Bunmi’s pregnancy which Bola knew would be a hindrance to his growing political career, being that he was already married to Senator Oluremi.
The couple reportedly agreed to have Senator Oluremi raise Seyi as her own as she had been finding it difficult to conceive, while Bunmi was to slither into obscurity.
It is unknown whether Seyi and Bunmi have any form of relationship, public or otherwise, as Senator Oluremi has played the role of his mother at all of the important functions including his call to bar in 2013 and his wedding in 2016.
Bunmi, however, is said to have settled into a sedentary life and worships at the Celestial Church Of Christ, Ogba, Lagos, where she is reportedly a prophetess.
