It was a gathering of the crème of society and everyone who
can be tagged a celebrity attended. It was the wedding of former Miss
Ayomide Amosun and Oladipupo Dabiri.
The Couple
Ayomide is the first daughter of Governor Amosun and his wife,
Olufunsho. The bride is a lawyer and was called to the Nigerian Bar in
December 2015. The groom, Oladipo is the eldest of the two sons of the
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Relations and
Diaspora Matters, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa. He schooled in Bristol,
United Kingdom and recently relocated to Nigeria.
Venues:
The July 8 event kicked off with the traditional engagement and Nikkah
ceremony which held at the African Church Primary School, Ita Iyalode,
Abeokuta, Ogun State.Guests were later treated to sumptuous meals at the
Muhammadu Buhari Presidential Estate, also in Abeokuta.
One of the wedding guests, journalist Azuka, revealed that stoles were howver stolen at the occasion.
She wrote “The royal fathers were in the building at the Dabiri and Amosu’s wedding in Abeokuta ?? I am still in awe of how the Ooni’s phone, his best friend Jide Fadairo’s phone and four governors phone was stolen at the wedding? I mean what about their security details, were they dozing or what? Even on our table my friend @winolive iphone and 30k was nicked from her purse??? and immediately l mounted more security on my iPhone 7, because it is just 2 weeks old, l know l will faint in that hall if my own joins the missing ones or the thief will steal me along o?????”
