The Nigeria Police Force has promised to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
Kemi Filani News recalls that Mohbad died on Tuesday amidst speculations about what could have led to the demise of the 27-year-old singer.
In a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, on Thursday, it was said that “the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death. Rest assured, updates will be provided as investigations unfold.”
While expressing the police’s heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and fans of the late Mohbad, Adejobi said, “We understand the concerns regarding his untimely demise.”
He explained that the NPF “is committed to a comprehensive investigation into the matter” by directing the Lagos CP to take up the matter.
“Rest assured, updates will be provided as investigations unfold,” Adejobi stated.
He encouraged family members or associates with valuable information “to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to assist in this process.”
“In the meantime, we kindly request that individuals refrain from making statements or engaging in activities that could jeopardize the ongoing investigation,” the statement read partly.
