Following
her interview with Oprah Winfrey on the TV show “Oprah’s next chapter”, one cannot
deny the fact that Rihanna still loves Chris Brown.
Her eyes welled with tears as she
talked about him to Oprah.
“We have maintained a very close friendship…we built a trust again and that’s it. We love
each other and we probably always will and that’s not anything we’re
gonna try to change,” Rihanna said.
Rihanna said it is hard hiding her feelings when she meets up with Brown.
“It’s awkward because I still love him. My stomach drops and I have
to maintain this poker face and not let it get to the outer part of
me…I think he was the love of my life.”
She
admitted that she was “more concerned” about Chris
Brown after the assault back then in 2009.
Despite
being upset with Brown after the assault , she said she felt a need to support him.
like the only person they hate right now is him…instead of feeling betrayed…I
just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help, and who’s gonna
help him? Nobody’s gonna say he needs help. Everybody’s gonna say he’s a
monster without looking at the source. I was more concerned about him. “
