Alhaji Usman Yakubu-Yaro has been appointed as the new State Coordinator for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Sokoto State.
This was stated in a statement released on Tuesday in Sokoto by Malam Sani Idris, the public relations representative for the state’s plan.
Idris claimed Yakubu-Yaro succeeded Alhaji Muhammadu Nakamba, who left the service after serving the required amount of time and retired.
Nakamba thanked the members of staff and corps members for their cooperation and support during his tenure.
He told his successor that he his tenure was fruitful because of the cordial relationship he had with the members of staff.
In a remark, Yakubu-Yaro pledged to run an open door policy order to give staff the opportunity to make positive contributions for the success of the scheme.
He assured to prioritise welfare and security of both corps members and staff. (NAN)
