The Nigerian Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has warned the public to beware of fake recruitment exercise.
In a text message, the NCDC said that it is not conducting any recruitment exercise.
Alerting the public to beware of fraud, the NCDC said it “will NEVER request for payment in return for employment and NCDC is NOT conducting any recruitment activities at this time”.
The agency also warned Nigerians to beware of fraud as messages have been getting sent to phones telling Nigerians that money has been paid into their account as COVID-19 relief fund.
The agency said, “BEWARE OF SCAM: Disregard any message that you are a beneficiary of COVID-19 funds or your account has been credited by NCDC. Delete immediately & DO NOT share”.
