While the Chief Medical Director, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Prof. Chris Bode, is still investigating the controversy surrounding the medical treatment of one of its patient, Mayowa Ahmed and the police too are on it, Comedian Seyi Law has penned a emotional note to all Nigerians.
Seyi is pleading that we look beyond the controversy of the fund and pray for her recovery.
“While we fight, a young lady is dying. While we lament, her pains is growing. While we worry about our funds, she is groaning under emotional trauma. While we seek the truth, she craves for miracle. I ask myself why this drama after all these efforts. The truth behind the whole saga will be exposed, but we could lose a soul that can be redeemed.
The doctor’s opinion is not God’s verdict. Some many questions to ask, but while we wait for answers, can the Government take up Mayowa’s case and help us pursue immediate and effective treatment? I don’t know about you, but I think it would be a more gracious story if Mayowa goes for treatment and return alive to listen to the story of how Nigerians were almost scammed by her family out of their lost of hope, if true.
Would I have ever known of Mayowa’s case if not for Toyin Aimakhu? I doubt. I am happy Nigerians played a wonderful role and beyond the drama, let’s look up to God, the One who recompense a man’s deed for your kindness.
My prayer is that none of you who gave to the cause ever have a reason to cry out for this kind of help in Jesus’name. The mighty healing hands of God would rest on Mayowa and She will live to testify and thank you all on her feet strong and well.

Meanwhile, the Police has confiscated the accounts opened for #SaveMayowa and confimed that full investigation has been launched.
“The Lagos State commissioner of police Cp Fatai Owoseni has directed full scale investigation into the report that the *SAVE MAYOWA CAMPAIGN* is a fraud.
Founder of LIFESTAKE foundation Ms Aramide Kasumu and two members of the ailing Aramide Shukura Ahmed’s family Mr Iwaloye Seun and Mrs Zaneen Ahmed were earlier today invited to the command’s headquarter on a fact finding mission, subsequently the command have placed a red alert on the access bank account opened in the name of Mayowa as it has been frozen while effort is ongoing to contact the managers of Gofundme online account so as to ensure funds raised through that platform is not fraudulently diverted. Investigation will be extended to LUTH hospital Idi-Araba where the patient is currently undergoing treatment.
The command wishes to inform all the good spirited people who had donated generously to this course that it will ensure it does not return as a hoax and every outcome of the investigation shall be made open.
