It’s been an exciting journey so far on the My Big Nigerian Wedding contest and from WED Magazine, we express our sincere gratitude to all the couples, voters and our media partners who have made this journey possible.
Now eight weeks into the competition, we are about to close the
curtains on the first stage of our Online and Social Media Voting.
Entries opened on October 2nd when we made a call for couples to
participate in Nigeria’s biggest wedding contest for a chance to win a
N15million wedding and an exotic honeymoon. We are overwhelmed by the
number of entries – 980 and counting, and the number of votes – 223,370
and counting so far in the competition.
It’s been a great ride so far and on December 2nd, voting will close on our website www.mbnwedding.com and on our Social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
If you’re a contestant in the competition, you still have a few more
days to increase your chances of moving on to the next stage if you
garner adequate votes in your favour.
Do note that 50 couples would be shortlisted to move on to the next
stage of the competition by January 2014. Among these 50 will be the top
25 couples on the website, top 5 on Facebook, top 5 on Twitter and top 5
on Instagram. 10 couples would also be selected by our judges based on
their ‘How We Met’ and ‘Why We Deserve To Win’ stories. SMS Voting would
then be introduced and voting would recommence on the website for the
Top 50 couples to get them shortlisted to the next stage.

wedding!
