A Yahoo boy, Edwin Ogbomwan (aka Thomas Jerry Stars), has been ordered by a Federal High Court sitting in Apo to forfeit his iPhone X and a Toyota Camry 2006 model car to the Federal Government.
Edwin was also sentenced to two months in prison by Justice D. Senchi with the option of paying N1m fine. The convict was found guilty after he was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for Internet fraud.
Two other men — Augustine James and Cyrinus Richard — were also sentenced 14 years in jail without an option of fine. They were convicted on six charges bordering on conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretences and forgery.
All three men were the first to be convicted by the EFCC in 2019.
