Olusegun Agbaje, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of INEC in Osun State, has said that he will resign if the INEC is found culpable in the Osun elections.
Agbaje made this known said on Wednesday in Osogbo, while handing the certificate of return to the winner of the election, Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola.
His words:
“I remained neutral throughout the process and if at the end of litigation at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, the commission is found culpable for not discharging its responsibility faithfully and diligently, I will take full responsibility for any such laxity, publicly apologize to all Nigerians and thereafter resign my appointment with the commission.”
