Former Chelsea midfielder, Joe Cole, has predicted that Romelu Lukaku will emerge top scorer in this season’s Champions League.
Lukaku returned to Stamford Bridge this summer from Inter Milan.
So far, the 28-year-old has netted four times in four games for the Blues.
Lukaku headed in the only goal, as Thomas Tuchel’s men began defence of their Champions League with a 1-0 win over Zenit on Tuesday night.
Cole has now hailed the Belgian’s decisiveness in front of goal.
“I’m going to throw this out there, I think he’ll be top scorer in the Champions League this season.
“Lukaku didn’t even have one of his better games, he was a little bit scruffy but he’s a finisher now, a killer. Once that ball was delivered there was only going to be one winner, he’s a great finisher,” Cole said on BT Sport.
