Recently, a group of fans held up a banner that read, “CR7 NOT WELCOME,” and Ronaldo responded to the post with four laughing emojis.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner requested permission to miss United’s preseason tour for “personal reasons,” and he reiterated that request upon his return to the club earlier this week.
KFN reports that the Portuguese international hopes to sign with a Champions League team.
Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich were also rumoured to be interested in the striker, but both clubs publicly denied the reports, while Chelsea backed away from a move for the player because manager Thomas Tuchel is not convinced of his tactical fit.
