Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku has been injured.
The Blues could now be forced into signing a new striker after the Frenchman suffered a knee injury.
The forward was forced off in the 22nd minute during Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund.
He appeared to have been injured after hitting the deck following a challenge from Dortmund’s Mats Hummels.
And despite carrying on, he was unable to shake off the niggle.
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, was quizzed about the player’s conditions after the game and he said, “The doctors are checking him and I hope it is not a big issue.
“He fell in the action which was maybe a penalty and he feels something in his knee, but we hope it is nothing big.
“We hope he can be back quickly with the team. We need a few days to assess him.”
