Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has claimed that he and Liverpool counterpart, Jurgen Klopp are “old friends”.
Guardiola was speaking to the media on Friday ahead of tomorrow’s early kick-off.
The game will see City who are top of the Premier League and one point ahead of the Reds clash at the Etihad.
“We are old friends. We know each other quite well.
“Of course, the time goes forward with Jurgen eight or nine years at Liverpool and it is not the same players since the start.
“He’s rebuilt the team and the idea is similar. Of course, Trent Alexander -Arnold can sometimes play more inside and sometimes outside.
“They have always been our best rivals. They are a top club and a top team. We are looking forward to it,” Guardiola said.
