Roma manager Jose Mourinho has blamed the centre referee for their Europa League final defeat to Sevilla on Wednesday night.
English referee Anthony Taylor was in charge of the game that ended in a penalty shootout at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.
The Giallorossi took the lead in the first half through Argentina international Paulo Dybala.
But the Italians were pegged back in the second half thanks to an own goal from Gianluca Mancini.
It was 1-1 at the end of the 30 minutes of extra time and had to be decided by penalties.
Moroccan goalkeeper Bono saved Mancini, and Roger Ibanez’s spot-kicks before Argentina’s Gonzalo Montiel netted the winning penalty after a dramatic retake.
Taylor was not sparing with his cards, brandish ing 13 yellow cards – seven to Roma and six to Sevilla.
“It was an intense, masculine, vibrant game with a referee who seemed Spanish. It was yellow, yellow, yellow all the time.
“The injustice is shown by the fact Erik Lamela should’ve had a second yellow, he didn’t, and he converted a penalty in the shootout,” Mourinho told Sky Italia
