Emmanuel Dennis of the Super Eagles is on Everton’s radar this summer if Brazilian star Richarlison leaves before the end of the transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.
Watford, who were relegated from the Premier League last season along with Norwich City and Burnley, value Dennis at around £20 million.
Despite the drop to the Championship, Dennis made an impression at Vicarage Road after signing a five-year contract in July for £3.5 million from Belgian giants Club Brugge.
In 33 league games, the 24-year-old scored 10 goals and added six assists, which is impressive for a player on a struggling team.
Watford, like all relegated clubs, will have to adjust their operations in the second tier, and the sale of Dennis would provide funds to reshape the squad under new manager Rob Edwards, who joined the club from Forest Green Rovers.
Richarlison, on the other hand, is a target for Tottenham this summer after scoring 10 goals in Everton’s successful fight for survival.
Everton signed him from Watford for up to £50 million, so they’ll be looking for a return on their investment.
Asked about his future last month, Richarlison said: “I’ve already made it clear to the board.
“I’ve already talked to (manager Frank) Lampard too, with my agents and they know what I want. Let’s wait for June.
“Now I can’t talk, because when we talk about leaving a club I’m kind of like this, because of the history I have at Everton, the affection that the fans have for me.
“When we talk about leaving I’m a little speechless.”
