Gabriel Jesus is undergoing a medical at Arsenal ahead of a £45 million (N22.8bn) move from Manchester City.
The 25-year-old Brazilian forward was wanted by a number of clubs in both the Premier League and Europe, but he chose to join Arsenal.
Since joining City from Palmeiras in January 2017, Jesus has made 236 appearances and scored 95 goals.
During his time at Etihad Stadium, he won four Premier League titles, three League Cups, and the FA Cup.
After City signed Norway forward Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, his playing time next season was likely to be limited.
Jesus previously worked with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta as a coach at Manchester City. Following the free transfers of forwards Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Spaniard is looking to bolster his team’s attacking options.
This summer, the club signed midfielder Fabio Vieira from Porto for £34.2 million and has also been linked with Leeds United playmaker Raphinha.
Arsenal finished fifth in the Premier League last season, narrowly missing out on Champions League qualification to north London rivals Tottenham.
