Garba Lawal, a former forward for the Super Eagles, has been quoted as saying unequivocally that Jay-Jay Okocha, a Nigerian football legend, was an exceptional player and someone he enjoyed playing with while they were both a part of the national team.
KemiFilani reports that Jay Jay Okocha was without a doubt one of the best African midfielders when he was playing football due to his skills and also goal-scoring technique; especially when playing free kicks.
There is no question about the fact that Okocha was one of the best African players of his time, who played for Premier League side Bolton Football Club.
Lawal, who is now 48 years old, is quoted as saying that Okocha consistently inspires confidence in his teammates while they are competing on the field in an interview that was published on YouTube.
”He’s an exceptional player. He’s everything. He’s magic. When you Jay-Jay in your team, some players won’t like it, but some fans like it, some coaches won’t like the way he plays.
”Me I want to play with him because when I have him I have a lot of confidence that he can change the game,” Lawal said.
